Scotch Bonnet, Red

Price range: $3.50 through $140.00

Sometimes called the Scotty Bon or Bonny Pepper-named for the resemblance to a Scottish cap.  Great in jerk dishes, and salsas.  But don’t be fooled, the unique citrus/fruity flavor is accompanied by some pretty serious heat-100,000 to 350,000 Scoville heat units.  Plants grow around 24-36” tall and are loaded with 1.5” fruits that ripen from green to red.  Can be grown in a container.  100 days from transplant.
