Cream of the Crop – Tropical Sunset

(1 customer review)

Price range: $4.50 through $297.50

A real show-stopper and staff favorite! Ripe fruit is almost translucent, golden with orangey-pink striping. Flavor is fruity and bright. Fruits hold in the ripe stage for a long time, providing a good shelf life. Very good plant health and fruit quality in both open field and greenhouse trials. Average Brix score of 8.0. Round 1.5″ fruits are ping-pong ball sized. Indeterminate, 60-70 days from transplant.

This tomato named itself. The color that fades from light to darker looks like the sun is setting inside the fruit. The bright tang of the taste reminded me of fruits I’ve tasted in the tropics. It’s been my favorite for snacking on for three years running. I’m glad that now we’ve produced enough seed to share this one.
