Collected in Coban, Guatemala by Baker Creek Seed Company.  A smaller tomatillo around 1″ in diameter.  Starts off green, but turns mostly purple when ripe.  Nice sweet flavor.  70 days from transplant.

Ripe Color

Both outer husk and fruit are green with dark purple blushing. Harvest when fruit fills out its husk and husk begins to split.

Planting Method

Transplanting recommended. Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Set out when all danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed. Two or more plants are needed for proper fertilization and fruit set. Isolated tomatillo plants rarely set fruit.
