Native to Central America and Mexico. Vigorous vining plants are loaded with 1″ miniature watermelon-like fruits. Delightful flavor is sweet and almost salty. Great when chopped and added to salads, stirfries or pickled. Will grow well on a small trellis.

I love snacking on these little guys. A little sweet, a little sour, kind of like a cucumber but not really – the flavor is hard to pin down. But they’re a nice burst of fresh flavor in the hot summer. And super cute! They climb quite vigorously given something to grab on to, and produce a lot of little fruits.
