Dragon

Dragon is the most refined purple carrot available to gardeners. The beautiful reddish-purple exterior makes an amazing contrast with the orange interior when sliced. This selection has a wonderfully sweet, almost spicy, true carrot flavor. Originally bred by Dr. John Navazio from a Chantenay type. The skin is thin, so the carrots do not need peeling. The interior color can vary from orange to yellow. The roots hold well in the field and store well. Roots average 5-7 inches long.
