Cream of the Crop – Apricot Zebra

(1 customer review)

Price range: $4.50 through $297.50

Unrivaled golf ball sized fruit with unique, firm and meaty texture and fine-textured skin. The orange pigmented fruits show prominent green stripes during fruit ripening that almost disappear when the fruit is fully ripe. The fruit has a strong “tomatoey” flavor, rich with moderate sweetness. Very good plant health and fruit quality in both open field and greenhouse trials. Very prolific. Average Brix score of 7.5, round 1.5-2″ fruits. Indeterminate, 60-70 days from transplant.

This tomato plant grows very fast, maybe not in the best manner for a gardener with variable conditions. The plant stems never get very thick, so the plant needs significant support. Additionally, this plant seems to drop a majority of their flowers. I’ve grown this plant in various locations across the US, and it consistently drops its flowers from different seed batches. Out of 10 flowers, maybe only 1 flower sets fruit. However, when the fruit ripens, it’s a great flavor.
