Not only will this variety ripen in some of the coolest areas, it is hands down, one of the best tasting melons that you can grow. A favorite of many gardeners across the USA, developed by Glenn Drowns in the 1970s when he lived in northern Idaho where the summer night temperatures average 43 degrees. A consistent high quality producer of 10-12” dark green fruits with sweet, candy-like red flesh. A real summertime treat.
