A.P. Whaley Staff –
One of my favorite onions for cooking. One of the best things about it is the oblong bulb shape – it’s so much easier to chop finely without worrying about it rolling away or threatening your fingers! The flavor is mild but lovely and it adds a lot to dishes. Plus, it’s so pretty! Don’t be fooled by the French name or the ‘shallot’ label, this is great used in any recipe that calls for onions. They keep well too.
