Uniquely shaped beet that resembles a carrot and produces uniform round slices for eating and processing. Dark red flesh, sweet and easy to peel. Originally from Denmark, introduced to the American gardeners around 1900. Especially productive in small areas because unlike round beets, the roots can grow down 6-8″ instead of out. 45 days.
