First introduced in 1887 by David Murray, the gardener for the Marquis of Ailsa, at Culzean Castle in Maybole, South Ayrshire in Scotland. An incredible onion, sure to impress, capable of growing to 2 pounds each. Mild and sweet, best used fresh from the garden, not intended for long term storage. Long-day type. 100 days from transplant.

Planting Method:

Direct sow in spring.
In northern climates it is recommended to start indoors, sprinkling multiple seeds into each container, 8 weeks before last frost date.
